Things We Can Do To Help Protect Our Forests & Freshwater

It's easy to ignore the problems or to pretend that one person can't make a difference, but there are lots of things that individuals can do to protect our forests and our freshwater.
*Switch to FSC paper at work and at home.
*Reduce paper use by printing on both sides of the page, and by recycling used paper.
*When renovating, ask for FSC-certified lumber, flooring or cabinetry.
*Look for efficient water use when you replace appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines.
*Use the washing machine or dishwasher only when you have a full load. Use energy efficient cycles.
*Don't leave taps running, and have shorter showers.*Switch to low flow toilets and showerheads.
*Limit or eliminate the need to water your lawn.
